It’s couples counseling…but with your horse.

Because just like any relationship, sometimes we need some extra support to get back on the same page.

I wish we could read their minds - It would make so many things so much easier. I want to support you in becoming a more connected and receptive partner for your equine buddy. During our time together, we will examine how you show up in relationship together, what your triggers are, and what you both need in order to feel supported. We’ll figure out what your patterns are, and discover what makes you feel “stuck”.

FAQs:

How are you qualified to do this work?

In addition to my 20 years riding and owning horses, my foundation comes from my work with The HERD Institute, where I get to bring mental health workers and horses together in service to the healing of their clients. I’ve done additional training with EAGALA and Natural Lifemanship, which informs the way I see the horse-human connection. I’ve also taken courses with The Masterson Method and Equine First Aid, in support of equine holistic wellbeing.

Will there be riding?

It depends! We will start on the ground and see where the work takes us. I am not here to train you or replace a riding instructor. I’m here to help you explore the connection and communication between you and your horse, hopefully in a way that augments the work you are already doing with your trainer.

Do I need to trailer to you?

Nope! I’ll meet you on your turf.

What kind of things can we work on?

The possibilities are endless! Are you struggling in your relationship together, with communication, or during competitions? Do you just not “get” each other? Do you work great together at home and then fall apart in the show ring? There are so many things we can explore together. If you’re wondering whether or not this is the right fit for you and your horse, contact me for a consultation!

How long is a session and what does it cost?

A session is 1 hour and costs $200. If you feel you need more time, we can discuss. Cash or venmo preferred.

Is this therapy?

Nope! It will be therapeutic and you will learn something about you and your horse, but I’m not your individual 1:1 weekly therapist. I AM a therapist though, so if there are things that we notice during our time together that I think would be worth exploring in therapy, I’m happy to help connect you with someone.

Let’s get your relationship back in stable condition. Ha-ha. Just kidding. kinda.
